Brownie S’mores Pie
One of my favourite summer treats of all time is S’mores. Chocolate, graham and marshmallow bliss. This Brownie S’mores Pie recipe is one which deserves to be in your summer plans this year.
Brownie S’mores Pie
I love easy and simple recipes, like my Raspberry Hand Pies for instance. But, sometimes I just CRAVE brownies.
My usual go to are these Salted Caramel Skillet Brownies or the flavour extreme Chocolate Mint Brownies.
When I think I need to also make a healthier choice, I opt for Zucchini Brownies.
But then there’s S’MORES! Hey, the classic campfire treat isn’t just for kids!
Also, s’mores doesn’t have to be made only on a stick over a campfire, this recipe is proof that you can have this mouthwatering dessert anytime you wish.
It’s smores in an oven! With just 4 ingredients and simple instructions {I thank the inclusion of the brownie cake mix}, you can have that summertime sweet in no time.
It’s actually quite simple and an easy way to get your S’mores fix, in a brownie plus pie form! What an awesome combination!
S’mores desserts have a tendency to be a rather messy treat, especially when you have kids. This one take the mess out, with no sticky fingers necessary. Well – hopefully.
After all, you could still eat this with your hands if you wish.
Get your S’mores fix with this recipe now and through the year!
This easy dessert and amazing recipe would be an ideal dessert for holidays, to cold winter nights.
In the summer, everyone is all about the s’mores, but maybe you don’t have access to a fire pit.
Either way you look at it, this smores brownie pie is a winner of a treat, anytime of the year!
Ingredients Needed:
Here are the simple ingredients you will need to make this easy recipe. As always, the full printable recipe is below.
- Brownie cake mix – for convenience
- Hazelnut Chocolate Spread – you can also try our Homemade Nutella
- Graham Cracker Pie Crust – for the base
- Mini Marshmallows – is it even smores without marshmallows?
How to Make this Recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350 and then bake graham crust for approximately 8 – 10 minutes until golden brown.
- While crust is baking, combine brownie mix and make according to the instructions on the box. TIP: make sure you don’t overcook, you don’t want an overdone crust.
- Follow brownie instructions until you have the batter then pour brownie batter into pie crust and bake according to the times on the brownie box. Mine took approximately 35 minutes.
- Remove the cooked brownie pie from oven and spread the chocolate spread all over the top of the pie. It will begin to melt, but this is ok.
- Top with mini marshmallows and turn oven onto broil. Broil the pie until the tops of the marshmallows get nicely browned. This will only take a couple of minutes.
- Let the pie cool down and serve slightly warm or room temperature. Cut the cooled brownie pie with a sharp knife into pie shaped pieces. Enjoy!
If you use large marshmallows you might need extra oven time. Yet be careful the top doesn’t burn. The oven’s broiler setting can be fierce so to be safe, place rack at lowest level possible.
Serve as is, because this chocolate brownie marshmallow-topped pie is perfect. Yet you can also serve with a side scoop of ice cream.
Store in an airtight container if there are leftovers. yet it will harden so this is a dessert that is best fresh.
Recipe Variations:
Feel free to make your own homemade graham cracker crust using crushed graham crackers, butter and a large bowl. I usually opt for store-bought graham cracker crusts, for simplicity sake.
