Broccoli Craisin Salad
This amazing Broccoli Salad recipe includes broccoli, raisins, coleslaw, craisins and bacon. It’s sweet and sour, crunchy and so very delicious – perfect for a side dish salad or as a potluck salad.

This classic broccoli salad with craisens recipe is an all time favourite of mine. It was given to me at a school potluck. When you taste a great recipe, you ask for it. Needless to say it was a crowd pleaser, because when I went back for seconds, it was gone.

Why you should make Brocooli Salad
I make this easy broccoli salad year-round.. Not only can you put it together very quickly, but during the summer months I crave meals that don’t require heating up the house. You know, something that nourishes yet also cools you down?
Yet, this is also the best Christmas Broccoli Salad, a perfect side salad for the holiday season and for Christmas dinner. Not only do the colours of the fresh broccoli florets and craisens fit the season, the taste is worthy of joining a holiday meal.

This cold broccoli salad recipe is crunchy, and full of flavours thanks to the dressing, raisins, craisins and sunflower seeds. If you aren’t aware, craisens are a brand of dried cranberries. You can also use raisens in a pinch, yet I don’t skip out on using cried cranberries.
This delicious broccoli salad has the best creamy dressing. I add some coleslaw salad into mine as well, and it just completes it!
Ingredients Required:
While the fill recipe is below in the recipe card, here are the salad ingredients you’ll need:
- fresh broccoli
- bag prepared Coleslaw
- golden raisins
- craisins (they are a brand of dried cranberries, or use raisens in a pinch)
- roasted and salted sunflower seeds
- bacon, cooked and chopped
- mayonaise
- white sugar
- apple cider vinegar
How to Make Broccoli Salad
Combine Broccoli, coleslaw, craisins, raisins and crumbled bacon into a large mixing bowl.
In a separate small bowl, mix together the tangy dressing ingredients, and pour over the broccoli mixture.
Toss well to evenly coat and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Right before serving, add the sunflower seeds and toss again to evenly mix.
You can serve this salad right in the large bowl you made it in.
As you can see, this is an easy recipe to make the best broccoli salad recipe, you’ll love the little crunch and the little time it takes to make.

Storage:
Place this salad into an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Unlike most salads, this one is almost better the day after – which is why it needs to be chilled for at least 2 hours before eating. I adore the crunchy broccoli, bacon bits, and the creamy homemade dressing. It’s also the best salad recipe for enjoying the next day as well.
So, you can make this in the morning before you head out for some fun – and this delicious side dish is ready and waiting for you! All you have to do is toss in the broccoli salad dressing.
I know the summer is all about macaroni salad and potato salad, yet this could easily replace them for being different and loaded with taste.

- Precise measurements isn’t required, so add more or less of the ingredients, as desired.
- You can also add the following optional ingredients, to make this recipe your own: chopped red onion, and/or shredded cheddar cheese.

Broccoli Craisin Salad
Ingredients
FOR THE SALAD
- 4 heads broccoli (chopped)
- 1/2 bag prepared Coleslaw {more or less if desired}
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup craisins
- 1 cup roasted and salted sunflower seeds
- 8 slices bacon (cooked and chopped)
FOR THE DRESSING
- 1 cup mayo
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Mix Broccoli, coleslaw, craisins, raisins and crumbled bacon in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the dressing ingredients and pour over the broccoli mixture.
- Toss well to evenly coat and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
- Right before serving, add the sunflower seeds and toss again to evenly mix.
