White Trash Recipe, my Favorite Holiday Treat
My top fave for the holiday season, this White Trash recipe combines two of my favourite indulgences – white chocolate and cereal. And, this recipe defines easy. Go ahead, make it – I know you’ll be hooked!

White Trash
Ingredients
- Cheerios cereal
- Chex cereal
- Pretzel Sticks
- Chocolate Chips {regular and white chocolate}
- ** Optional: package of Smarties or M&M’s
Instructions
- Melt the white chocolate in the microwave while you dump the cereals and pretzels {and candy if you wish} into a big bowl.
- As soon as the white chocolate is melted, pour over cereal and mix until well coated {the more white chocolate the merrier, I have found}.
- Spread the mixture on wax paper and leave to dry.
- Melt a small amount of chocolate and drizzle over the top as desired.
- Once cooled, break-up and store in resealable containers or bags.

Gift Idea: Add to small Christmas themed bags for presents – great for local friends to compliment a Christmas card, or for your mailman or those you wouldn’t normally purchase gifts for. It’s an easy delicious gesture this holiday season!
Word to the wise though, gift ASAP or your gonna snack on it all.the.time – it’s THAT good! 🙂

Intrigued by the name! Looks yummy too!
I love that this is called White trash! I want to make it and give it out to people just so i can tell them the name of it – for a Christmas Theme – you could call it Melted Snow – because it looks like when the snow starts to melt and all the stuff that was on the ground before the pretty white snow covered it, starts to show again! LOL I love this and i am so making some! Thanks for the post! 🙂
Wow this looks simple yet delicious! My boys would love this, thanks for sharing
yum yum, hilarious name too! haha
Must admit I have eaten cereal since I was a child because of the high salt and sugar content – our mother used to combine them with hot chocolate and cool them – lovely
This looks so yummy and I love the name!

your very welcome!!
It’s a good idea to send to school also. They always have a breakfast before Christmas. I think it counts as breakfast food since there is cereal in it 😉
Thanks
Ha!! Good idea, Josee! But, nut-free, so safe to send to school!!
🙂
ohmigosh! That looks SO yummy, and easy. Kinda like the candy corn bark I make for fall. And this recipe is probably safe for my daughter, too, since she can have all those the ingredients (nut allergy). YUM! Thanks for sharing!
It’s hard to find a non-nut recipe this time of year, isn’t it? Some you can omit, but others aren’t as good without. This is divine!! 🙂
