Tips for Success
How to Make Blackberry Cobbler

STEP 1 – Grease your baking dish with butter and preheat the oven to 350 degrees f. Mix together the blackberries and sugar in a small bowl and let sit at least 5 minutes.

STEP 2 – Mix together the all purpose flour, baking powder and salt in another medium bowl.

STEP 3 – Add the milk and melted butter to the dry mixture in the mixing bowl and stir until just combined.

STEP 4 – Pour the flour mixture into your 8 by 8 inch baking dish and then spoon your blackberry filling (berry mixture) on top of the batter.

STEP 5 – Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, remove and sprinkle the raw sugar over the top.

STEP 6 – Bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow this delicious cobbler to cool slightly so that the filling thickens a little, and enjoy.
Did you know that some like to enjoy cobbler at room temperature, and that’s ok!
How to Make Individual Cobblers
You can make individual cobbler servings with this best recipe, instead of one big cobbler! To do so, simple divide the blackberry mixture and topping evenly for oven-safe ramekins or small baking dishes. Place each on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet when baking in case of overflow. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

What to Serve with Blackberry Cobbler
I think I’ve mentioned this a few times now, but the answer is: a scoop of vanilla ice cream pairs wonderfully with homemade cobblers. It compliments the dessert so well both in texture and in temperature.
Another option for serving is whipped cream. If you’re my kind of brave, choose both!
Storage
Baked Cobbler can be covered with plastic wrap, or stored in an airtight container. Regrigerate for up to 4 days.
How to Reheat Leftover Cobbler
Leftover fruit cobbler can be reheated in the microwave, just until warm.

Recipe FAQ
It is best to serve this dessert within an hour or two of being baked.
I do not recommend using frozen berries. Fresh berries are best for this recipe.
Yes! If you’d like to freeze this recipe, it’s best to do so after baking. Simply freeze well covered in aluminum foil or in a freezer-safe airtight container. Allow a frozen cobbler to thaw in the fridge overnight and then bake at 350° until heated through.
