There’s nothing better than going from school to cheerleading {or Gymnastics, or dance} and coming home to a cooked meal. I still recall how coming home to my Slow Cooker Apricot Chicken cooked and waiting, simply made the day.

Thanks to slow cooker recipes, I don’t have as many frantic kitchen pacing episodes of ‘what to make for dinner‘, right at dinnertime.
One favourite that we have made a couple times this winter is Slow Cooker Orange Chicken. I’d also call this a healthier orange chicken version of a traditional, since oftentimes Orange Chicken is deep-fried.
Yet not my One Pan Orange Chicken that uses oranges, so check that one out.

Hi, I love this recipe use it all the time but I did change one thing i use half chicken half pork its so easy and so so good TY
This didn’t taste like orange chicken at all. I followed the recipe but all I could taste was BBQ sauce. My boyfriend liked and it did taste okay, but I was going more for an orange flavor and not a bbq, as I’m not a huge fan of bbq sauce. Maybe next attempt I’ll exclude the bbq or put way less.
Still tasted great, but I wound up adding the green onion and sesame seeds to the crock pot when I read “add remaining ingredients…”
I have made similar mistakes with other recipes when I don’t read them through once first.
Moral of the story: Read all the way through the recipe before beginning to cook.
