- Ground Meat / Lean Ground Beef / Ground Turkey
- White Rice or Brown Rice
- Large Onion
- Whipping Cream
- Dill weed
- Salt and Black Pepper
- optional – Tomato Sauce
To Make: In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the celery, onion, garlic, 1 tbsp dill, and ground beef. Cook until the ground beef is no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. At the same time take the uncooked rice, and cook as per package directions, until almost done. Do not overcook.
Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker. Add the cooked rice, coleslaw mix without the dressing, bacon, tomatoes, and remaining dill weed. Mix very well. Pour the cream over the top, and cook on low heat for a cook time of 2 – 3 hours.
Serve as a side dish along with some garlic sausage for dinner, or eat as it on its own. Top with sour cream for a flavourful touch.
