Ingredients 

  • 1 lbs ground beef
  • 1 can Manwich (or use a make-your-own sloppy joe sauce from packet)
  • 1 cup frozen corn or peas {or both}
  • 6 potatoes (cooked and mashed with a bit of butter and milk added {with salt and pepper to taste if you wish})
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese
  • Paprika for garnish {optional}

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain.
  • Add sloppy joe sauce, and mix well. Cook on low for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the meat mixture as the first layer in a 13×9 pan.
  • Add a layer of frozen vegetables, then a layer of mashed potatoes followed a layer of shredded • cheese. Sprinkle a bit of Paprika on top for garnish.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for approx. 30 minutes, or until warmed through.
  • Enjoy!

    Yum! We love shepherds pie here, I add ketchup to the Hamburger for a different kick. We’ll have to try this version, I’m sure it’ll be a hit 🙂
