Sloppy Joe Shepherd’s Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lbs ground beef
- 1 can Manwich (or use a make-your-own sloppy joe sauce from packet)
- 1 cup frozen corn or peas {or both}
- 6 potatoes (cooked and mashed with a bit of butter and milk added {with salt and pepper to taste if you wish})
- 1.5 cups shredded cheese
- Paprika for garnish {optional}
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain.
- Add sloppy joe sauce, and mix well. Cook on low for another 5 minutes.
- Add the meat mixture as the first layer in a 13×9 pan.
- Add a layer of frozen vegetables, then a layer of mashed potatoes followed a layer of shredded • cheese. Sprinkle a bit of Paprika on top for garnish.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for approx. 30 minutes, or until warmed through.
- Enjoy!

I really like sloppy joes on a bun but for some reason my son is not a fan. This might be a good alternative.
