No Bake Eggnog Pie

This No Bake Eggnog Pie recipe is the perfect dessert for the holiday season. With just 5 ingredients, it’s like a cup of creamy eggnog yet in a simple yet velvety pie form.

Eggnog is a famous thick drink during the Christmas season, much like pumpkin spice is to the fall season.

It also has similar polarizing views – people seem to love it, or hate it! Myself, I really don’t care for it. The rich thick liquid texture isn’t for me.

Yet I do love the holiday flavor and festive taste of eggnog spices.

Which is why I love to bake with it during this time of year.

That creamy eggnog flavor is the star in some of my favorite holiday desserts.

Our favorite eggnog recipes include Eggnog Cookies, and Eggnog Cupcakes. Both have the most perfect eggnog frosting and are great christmas desserts.

If the holidays had a taste, I’m sure it would be this Cranberry Eggnog Bread. It’s wonderful to enjoy on Christmas morning.

Eggnog lovers or even those that aren’t – I do believe everyone will become a huge fan of this easy eggnog pie recipe.

Eggnog Pie Ingredients

Our no bake eggnog cream pie recipe uses 5 simple ingredients. As always, the printable recipe card for this easy dessert, is at the end of this post.

Crust – I use a store-bought graham cracker pie crust. You can also make your own, or use a pastry pie crust.

You can also use the aluminium pie plate that comes with the crust, or transfer the pie shell to a glass pie plate or extra durability.

Instant Pudding Mix – Use vanilla instant pudding mix for this recipe.

Eggnog – I use regular eggnog for this creamy eggnog pie, though you have room for preference here.

Whipped Topping – I use a store bought cool whip tub, yet you can make your own using heavy cream if you’d like.

I also use more whipped cream for the topping, with extra for those that like lots on their pie. Such as myself.

Ground Nutmeg – Used in the pie filling, and sprinkled on top of the pie for garnish.

How to Make Easy Eggnog Pie

  1. Add the eggnog and vanilla pudding mix into a large mixing bowl.

  2. Beat the eggnog pudding mixture on high speed using a hand mixer (or electric mixer), until well combined with a smooth texture.

  3. Add the cool whip and 1/4 teaspoon of the nutmeg. Fold the mixture until combined.

  4. Pour the eggnog mixture into the prepared crust, using a spatula to spread evenly. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg.

  5. Refrigerate until firm before serving. Chill time is at least 5 hours, to overnight.

How To Serve

As a Dessert: This delicious pie would make a perfect dessert at your Christmas dinner table, or at your next holiday gathering.

Snack: Yet this light and fluffy dessert also makes a great afternoon sweet treat for guests that may stop by during the season.

Either way you serve, it’s great paired with a hot cup of coffee. Why not try your holiday coffee with our Powdered Eggnog Creamer!

Storage

FRIDGE: Store eggnog pie leftovers, in the refrigerator and covered. This Christmas eggnog pie will be good for 3-4 days when stored in the refrigerator.

FREEZER: Yes, you can freeze eggnog pie! Make sure it’s in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap. This creamy pie can be frozen for up to 4 months.

Making it ahead of time and freezing for later, fits well with making a big holiday dinner. Thaw overnight in the fridge, and enjoy the next day.

PRO TIP: Eggnog is seasonal and is only in stores for a limited time. Make no bake eggnog pies while the eggnog supplies last, and freeze for later!

Recipe Variations

  • Make a Homemade Graham Cracker Crust instead of a grocery store premade crust. To make: use melted butter, sugar, and crushed graham crackers.
  • Make your own Whipped Cream using heavy whipping cream beaten until you have stiff peaks. Add flavouring to the topping if you wish.
  • Use a baked and cooled Pastry Pie Crust instead of the graham cracker crust.
  • Add a Touch of Dark Rum into the filling, for an adults-only dessert.
