Ingredients Required
These are the 4 simple ingredients needed to make easy peach cake and great recipe. As always, the printable recipe card is at the end of the post.
- Canned Peaches – Use canned sliced peaches in syrup. Don’t drain the liquid out of the can. You can use the can of peaches that has light syrup if you’d like.
- Box Cake Mix – I like to use white cake mix, vanilla cake mix or yellow cake mix for this recipe. Any brand will do.
- Butter – You can either use butter cut into cubes, melted butter, or as I did – a semi-melted butter with a bit of both.
- Cinnamon – Ground cinnamon adds a nice flavor and spice. Yet, it’s optional.
How to Make Peach Dump Cake
First, preheat the oven to 350°F. Also spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray, and it set aside.
- Dump the canned peaches and its liquid into the casserole dish.
- Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the peaches (optional).
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over peaches.
- Pour the semi-melted butter evenly on top of the cake mix.
- Place baking pan in the preheated oven. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is cooked and golden brown.
Note: Cooked dump cakes are supposed to have some parts that look more cooked than others.
How to Serve
This easy peach dump cake is best enjoyed while warm.
Yet some prefer to eat this cake when room temperature, and that is fine as well.
While optional, I recommend swerving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The warm cake contrasting the cold ice cream is wonderful.
You can also serve this cake with whipped cream instead of a scoop of ice cream. Better yet, try both!
