Summertime Family Favorite : Strawberry Romaine Salad

Strawberry Romaine Salad is a fresh summer salad that is bright, colourful and so very simple to make

Strawberry Romaine Salad

When it comes to salads, my family will never give up our frequent and all-time favourite – Caesar salad.

Yet when summer hits, we all crave another delicious salad made with fresh strawberries! This time of year is perfect for buying strawberries – they are ripe and usually comes at such a low cost.

Here is our favourite strawberry summer salad {say that 5 times real fast!}

It helps if you add all the dressing ingredients to a jar and then shake to mix. As well, I also add some Spinach Leaves to my salad {this and all other salads, actually}.

It gives salads that extra nutritional punch and usually no one notices the spinach anyway. Funny though, my husband just realized that I add spinach to all my salads – after almost 10 years of marriage!

This Strawberry Romaine Salad is bright, colourful and has that sweet flavour that only fresh strawberries can provide. It’s also so fast to make, nice for those days when you are short of prep time. This recipe has made its way into my ‘favourites’ section of my recipe box.

It’s favourable to try a recipe with in-season fruits and vegetables – you can add variety to your meals and stay within budget!
