One of my favourite appetizer recipes of all time, is Hot Shrimp Dip.

A friend served it once and I was hooked, even though at the time I didn’t care *too much* for Shrimp.

Flash forward many years later and it’s still one of my top go-to appetizer dishes, maybe it even opened the door for my now love for seafood.

Hot Shrimp Dip

I made this appetizer for Christmas Eve, for the past few years now. It’s also the most-requested dip from my family {along with Spinach Dip}, so that says a lot.

Since it’s served warm {We like it best spread onto a cracker, Mmmm!} and it does cool fast, you can place mixture into a small crock-pot if you’d like.

We did this recently and it worked like a charm!

Ingredients 

  • 1 8 oz pkg Cream Cheese
  • 1/2-1 tsp Garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 Red Pepper (diced, chopped)
  • 10-12 Mushrooms (diced, chopped)
  • 1/2 Cup Green Onion (chopped, chopped)
  • 1/4 Cup Alfredo Sauce (in the jar)
  • 1 approx 350g Pkg pre-cooked Shrimp (thawed and tails removed {if big, cut in half})
  • Lemon Pepper

Instructions

  • Saute the mushrooms, garlic and red pepper
  • Add onions, cream cheese, shrimp, alfredo sauce and lemon pepper {amount as desired}
  • Heat mixture only until hot
  • Serve while warm
