Ingredients and Notes

As always, the full recipe is on the printable recipe card at the end of this post.

  • Cornstarch and Water – to make a cornstarch slurry, so you have a thicker sauce that sticks to the pork.
  • Oil – I used avocado oil yet you can use whichever type of oil you prefer such as vegetable oil or olive oil.
  • Pork Chops – you can use bone-in pork chops or boneless pork chops. Yet note that bone-in may take a little longer to cook.
  • Seasonings – For this recipe I use garlic powder, coarse kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Butter – I used unsalted butter so I can control the saltiness of the dish myself with added salt.
  • Garlic Cloves – You can also use already minced garlic from the grocery store.
  • Honey – adds some thick sweetness to the honey garlic sauce.
  • Chicken Stock – Use low sodium chicken broth if you can, so you can add more salt to the dish if needed.
  • Rice Vinegar – You can use apple cider vinegar in a pinch if needed.
  • Soy Sauce – I used low sodium soy sauce to control the amount of sodium.
  • Parsley – For garnish and a nice final touch, yet totally optional. You can also use green onion and/or sesame seeds as garnish as well.
