Ham and Cheese Pinwheels
I started making HAM AND CHEESE PINWHEELS once a week, and it’s proven to be a great hit with the kids. Great for weekday lunches then leftovers for school lunches.

Also try these Pumpkin Pie Turnovers, they are a great breakfast and school lunch item!
Anyone else get themselves into a lunchtime rut? *hands raised high*
While soup and sandwiches are great, sometimes I {and the kids} get so bored of the same old. To get out of that rut, why not take an all time fave and jazz it up a little. Take ham and cheese, popular with sandwiches. Snoozefest.
So, I started making Ham and Cheese Pinwheels once a week, and it’s proven to be a great hit with the kids. Plus, if you make these for lunch on a Sunday and save a few, you have lunch to send to school on Monday.
Plus, making these is quick and easy {a must for this Mom!} and would be so perfect served as an appetizer!

You can make your own dough for this, yet I use a package of crescent rolls, which didn’t unroll into one piece at all so I had to re-ball the entire thing and remake one large piece using a rolling pin.
Spread your cream cheese and mustard mixture over it all, then place some ham, mozzarella cheese and green onions on top.
Starting at one end, roll the entire thing to the other end, making one big log. Using a serrated knife, cut into 1-2 inch sections and place on a greased cookie sheet to bake.

It’s ok if each roll isn’t perfect and there are gaps. When baking, the cheese and dough will fill the gaps and it’ll all stick together when done.
When completed, you have a perfect Ham and Cheese Pinwheel, and they are delicious! A great alternative to a ham & cheese favourite, with a nice cream cheese taste and buttery dough. Mmmm!
