Jalapeño Bacon Grilled Cheese Sandwich
All his raving is for good reason, these ingredients makes one heck of a grilled cheese. It’s as big of a hit as my Avocado Egg Salad Sandwich!
When it comes to meals, I find that I usually make the same things over and over. Are you the same?
Take grilled cheese sandwiches, for example. I always grab a cheese slice and only when I have extra on hand, slices of brick cheese. Though I’d never really thought of it – that is so boring, right?
When some fellow foodie bloggers and I decided to highlight grilled cheese recipes this week, I was kinda at a loss. Did I ever make anything different than the usual? I didn’t think so.
So, I asked my husband if he had any ideas. Low and behold, he did have a pretty great Jalapeño Bacon Grilled Cheese Sandwich that he makes often while at work. Who knew?

He then listed the 4 ingredients: texas toast, sliced old cheddar, jalapeño havari cheese and bacon. Hmmm, that sounded good.
Yet, he is known to love his foods spicy and myself, not so much. How spicy was this jalapeño havari cheese? I guess I was about to find out, I was game on giving it a try. After all, he didn’t stop raving about how good this grilled cheese was. Again, how did I not know he made this ‘all the time’. Ugh!
So, I tried it and … wow!
The jalapeño havari cheese doesn’t make it too spicy, but it adds this zing, a really flavourful taste to the sandwich. And bacon? Well, there’s no need to explain the importance of including bacon!!
I learned a couple of things when making this Jalapeño Bacon Grilled Cheese Sandwich: break from the routine of what you cook, you never know what gems you’ll discover. Also, I really need to ask him for recipe suggestions more often!
The next time you are craving a classic grilled cheese sandwich, I urge you to try this Jalapeño Bacon Grilled Cheese!

I never thought of putting jalapeno’s in my sandwich but it sounds delicious.
I am a big fan of anything with bacon on it; and a hot grilled cheese is perfect! I am a little skeptical about the jalapeno cheese but I would make a substitute.
