If you have lots of apples to use up, make sure to try this Maple Apple Crisp recipe, it’s incredibly good!

This Caramel Apple Milkshake recipe is super simple to make, and is timely with apple season in full swing. We get a huge bag of apples each time we go to the store, as my kids eat 1-2 per day. They are a frugal price right now, so I can’t help but scoop some up each time.

Right now Katie requests ‘green apples’ each time, yet she’s the only one that eats them. So I’ve been using the rest in my smoothies and various recipes.

Also, there’s only so many times I can make crockpot apple crisp and no-bake apple parfaits. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, yet sometimes I just want something sweet yet incredibly easy.

Over the weekend the girls were asking for a milkshake, which immediately made me desperately want one as well. Yet before I answered, I quickly tallied the total for us all plus a friend that was over, and at $5-$6 bucks a pop.

There’s many of us in our family and sometimes this adds up fast, so in this case, no way! This is when all the best recipe inspiration strike, when I have a craving yet don’t want to pay store or restaurant prices.

I would rather use that extra money elsewhere, so I decided that making milkshakes at home was the way to go. Yet I also wanted a flavour combination that was out of this world.

This Caramel Apple Milkshake hit the spot perfectly, saved a lot of money versus going out to get one. Plus I got to stay in my pyjamas and relax, and that was a big perk.

Well, you can cut that craving in no time with this easy milkshake recipe that takes mere minutes.

This is a milkshake recipe that you can enjoy year round, it’s delicious!

How do you make a caramel apple milkshake?

Making a Caramel Apple Milkshake couldn’t be more easy. Simply blend ice cream, apple cider, and caramel. Add apple chunks then blend again. Next, spoon caramel sauce into your cup and then pour in the milkshake.

Garnish with an apple slice, and don’t forget the whipped cream and additional caramel sauce. As in, you’ll be very disappointed if you do. In fact, I think skipping whipped topping, unless you have a sensitivity, is a hard rule.

How often do you make milkshakes at home, and what is your favourite kind?

My new favorite treat! This time I only used 1 cup of apple cider, but increased the caramel a bit. I also added some cinnamon to taste, but otherwise stuck with the recipe. Yum!! When I get a craving for this, nothing else will do!

  2. Extremely sweet and liquid-y. Tried cutting the cider in half and used the caramel only as garnishment. Threw in some cinnamon and nutmeg and it was amazing.

  3. I never make milkshakes at home or even order them when I’m out but they always look delicious so I don’t know why I don’t! This one looks especially awesome with all that caramel sauce!

  4. This recipe is a little bit of summer, transitioning nicely to fall! A little bit of both seasons!
