Breakfast Power Smoothie
Another great breakfast smoothie idea is this Fresh Orange Smoothie, it tastes just like Orange Julius!
One look at this Breakfast Power Smoothie and I know what you’ll say – it looks gross. Sorry about this recipe which isn’t the most visually appealing one I’ve featured, but it’s such an important recipe to me personally – so have to share!
You see, I’ve always been notorious for skipping breakfast, which has always led me eating all-the-things by lunchtime. With the new year, many are making those resolutions to eat better and live healthier, and this Breakfast Power Smoothie recipe does fit so well with that.
While this smoothie drink isn’t something I started when the new year hit {it’s been my morning staple for about 4 months now}, it’s an excellent one that many can start incorporating into their diets.
Since I started drinking this smoothie daily, not only haven’t I skipped breakfast, but it keeps me full and energized all morning {hence earning the ‘power smoothie’ title wholeheartedly}.
It’s very quick and easy to make, I have gotten into the great habit of blending myself one right before I head out the door for school drop off.
This Breakfast Power Smoothie recipe’s main ingredients are mixed frozen berries {mine usually include blueberries, strawberries and blackberries}, and spinach.
Others are water, chia seeds, flax seeds, greek yogurt and Simply Egg Whites. It’s literally packed with goodness!
The less than beautiful colour of this smoothie comes from the dark spinach and rich berries. I’ve made this smoothie so often than I don’t even measure, so sometimes if there’s more berries it’s more red and depending on the amount of spinach in my handfuls – more green.
I crave this Breakfast Power Smoothie each and every morning, it really is so delicious!
