Reese Crumble Cake Bars
An easy Reese Crumble Cake Bars recipe using a box of cake mix and REESE Spreads – an out of this world dessert recipe!

Reese Crumble Cake Bars
Have you tried my Reese Croissants or Reese Cinnamon Buns yet?
For the past few weeks I’ve been sharing some incredible recipes using REESE Spreads – and I’m so excited to finally introduce you to one that I made. This Reese Crumble Cake Bars recipe is totally amazing, it pretty much was a weekend highlight.
You see, I’ve partnered with REESE Spreads to highlight the many wonderful recipes that you can make with the product, because peanut butter and chocolate married together in a spreadable form? Oh yes!

Reese Crumble Cake Bars is a relatively simple recipe to make, and one that utilizes a box of yellow cake mix. It features 3 layers: the cake at the bottom, REESE spread in the middle, and then the cake again on top.
Since the top cracks somewhat when it bakes, I call it a crumble cake. Yet it holds together so nicely – and the taste is amazing.

REESE Spreads makes this recipe, but it’s in good company with the buttery cake flavour – an out of this world combination.
Of all the bars and squares that I’ve made, many of them are in the recipe box here at My Organized Chaos, this one is my newest favourite. Usually for my recipe features, I divide the treats to be enjoyed by myself and the kids – and the rest to friends. This one? Sorry friends, it didn’t make it that far. Next time – maybe.
Here’s the recipe for Reese Crumble Cake Bars, and truly enjoy this one right down to the last bite. Also keep an eye on the #DoYouSpoon hashtag on social for more great recipes to try using REESE Spreads.

Reese Crumble Cake Bars
An easy Reese Crumble Cake Bars recipe using a box of cake mix and REEESE Spreads - an out of this world dessert recipe!
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 cup REESE Spreads
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x9 baking pan with foil and nonstick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, beat the cake mix, butter, and the egg with a mixer until combined.
- Press about 1/2 {or a little more to have a thicker bottom layer} of the dough into the prepared baking pan.
- Spread the REESE Spreads over the crust layer.
- Spread the remaining dough over the top of the REESE Spreads, taking some of the dough and flattening in your hands and placing the pieces on the top if necessary. If there are small gaps, that is ok, sprinkle any remaining dough pieces on the top.
- Bake for 19-21 minutes until golden, and the edges are just beginning to brown. Don't overcook as you want the cake to be moist.
- Cool completely and remove from the pan to cut into bar sections.
- Enjoy!
