Hatley

When I find a great Canadian online store, I am all over it. Not only do I love to support local Canadian businesses, but Canadians are able to shop in CAN dollars (which is not that common, but very much appreciated)

When I stumbled onto Hatley, I got excited. I browsed around the shop I had to continually go back to the ‘about’ section of the site and the FAQ to double and triple check that this was indeed a Canadian store. Thrilling! Clothes, Clothes and more Clothes – for Dad, Mom, Tween, Child and Baby! Though they have everything you could want for wearing and accessorizing, they seem to specialize in a great variety of pajamas. Hmmmm??? Maybe it’s a part of their comfortable is key policy? After all, I spend most time writing in my pajamas. Hatley has some fantastic items for the whole family. And, considering this:

It’s no surprise why most of their items feature an animals on it. Beavers, moose, dogs for example. One of my faves are the woodland animals hugging with, ‘Environmentally friendly’ on it. HA! My father in law would just love that men’s Tee! Or the ‘3 sheeps to the wind’ apron. I have laughed my way through this entire site!

My daughter was sent a Hatley hooded raincoat in the Strawberry Picnic design. This is one sharp looking rain coat, with strawberries and ‘pick me’ all over it. And, it just one of many products in this design. A couple of the others I am admiring are the Strawberry Picnic pajamas and swimsuits The raincoat is comfortable on her, and unique when compared to others I have seen in stores. And to me, it’s awful to have an item and then see it everywhere on everyone else. The inside of the coat is a soft and cuddly towel-like fabric. This coat is made to stay dry and warm, yet is lightweight. It has 2 pockets, which Isabelle immediately filled with rocks on her travels. The length is perfect, covering the bum when she sits down. Completely machine washable (but hang to dry), this raincoat is approved by Mom and the princess who wears it.

Since I admire a company that gives back, it is important to mention that: “For every children’s raincoat or pair of rain boots sold through the Hatley website through March and April an equivalent will be donated to a North American child in need.”
