By the Time you Read this…
An unusual Wordless Wednesday photo this week, yet this ultrasound photo has been on my mind for months, specifically these last few days.
By the time you read this, I’ll most likely be in the recovery room, swearing at a nurse or something. Oh, Have I yet mentioned that me an anesthetic don’t get along too well? Ahhh, that’s a good story to write while bed-ridden I think.
Anyway, today is the day that my Gallbladder gets evicted after 4 years of ache and a few horrific episodes of the most intense pain I have ever felt.
Hey, I’m starting the New Year with one less body part!
I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV – yet I do think this ultrasound photo of my gallbladder is laughing at me… buh-bye and good riddance!

.
That is the freakiest looking ultrasound I have ever seen! Hope you’re recovering well. I had my galbladder removed a few years ago and regret that I did. But that’s a whole other story…
Diana, I didn’t know you had yours removed! I’m in so munch pain!! I dare not move in bed, very thankful for my iPad!
We’ll share stories sometime!
Tammi, I’m so sorry to hear you’re in such pain. That is awful! I wish there was something I could do.
Oh my it does look like it’s laughing. So long Gallbladder. Rest my dear!
I’m resting, have hardly moved… And already getting so bored!!!
I hope you are feeling okay and recovering nicely. Take care, Tammi.
Trying to, Pam! Thank you!
that ultrasound is so freakin’ creepy! but kind of neat. I suffered with gall stones while I was pregnant, it was the worst pain in the world!! No matter what I ate or did I always ended up in the hospital. I was so glad when I had surgery 3 months after I had our first child! I hope you recover nicely!! Lots of rest!
Same here, it started when I was PG with the twins, but they thought it was muscles stretching. I just found out it was my gallbladder 6 months ago!
I can’t lie…the whole reference to *ultrasound* had me a wee bit hopeful…but alas..it’s just a pesky gall bladder….hope you recover well and enjoy life without it!
Good Riddance is right!
Hahahaha!!!!!
You should have seen the looks on family and friends’ faces when I said I was going for one!!!!
Oh yeah, I can totally imagine…you should have played it up and showed the photo of your little *bean* – bahahaha….. okay, maybe not but it would have been funny. I think everyone’s automatic reaction to *ultrasound* is thinking of pregnancy.
Regardless, hope you are recovering well!
I hope you are happy in recovery right now *hugs*
I’m glad you’re getting it removed. I had one final terrible episode in 1994 and thankfully went to the emergency room. Found out my gall bladder was gangrened… the pain I had experienced all those years was that and me, with my high tolerance for pain, was none the wiser. Thanks to my annoying friend I went in. I’m happily gall bladder free. Happy healing! And thanks for sharing the scary ultrasound. 🙂
It almost looks like a ghost… and being a Mom counts as being a doctor. You’ve healed many fevers, colds and boo-boos…
Take care and hoping for a quick recovery!
Rest up honey! Hope you feel fab soon and good riddance to that pesky organ you really didn’t need!
Ouch! Hope you recover soon! 🙂
Hope you are resting well and pain free! Hope it is a quick recovery {hugs}.
Get better soon!! Hope you have a fast recovery!! 🙂
Definitely looks like it is laughing, weird. Hope you are doing well.
Here’s to less pain and a speedy recovery!!
Hope your recovery goes smoothly!
That was a weird ultrasound for sure. Adios gallbladder!
I hope you have a speedy recovery.
I’m so use to looking for the baby in those that I didn’t know what to look at! Hope you are recovering well!
Oh my sweet friend, I hope you recover fast.
Bye bye body part.
I’ve never had my gallbladder removed, however, I have worked in the Operating Room for many years…I hope you’re soon feeling better. Take it easy…nurses orders!!
What a freaky looking ultrasound! Had mine out about 6 years ago. It took 10 years of intense pain before anyone took me seriously. I don’t know how many trips to the ER and doctors appointments I had. They always told me it was an ulcer or heartburn and would send me on my way. My gastroenterologist told me it was the most diseased gallbladder he had ever seen. If someone would have listened sooner it probably wouldn’t have been!
Speedy recovery wishes to you!
Theresa
Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery.:)
Hope you’re feeling tons better… no more aches and pain… Have a speedy recovery!
Blog-hopping over from Sakura’s!
I say buh-bye, too! If it’s causing such awfulness, it needs to go! Been praying that everything goes really well today! Get well soon, and take care of you!!!!!! 🙂

LOL at your gallbladder. I think it is laughing at you! I hope your surgery went well and you recover quickly!
I hope your surgery goes well & you have a quick recovery. Most people I know who’ve had them out swear that they’ve felt so much better after.
thinking of you! hope you’re doing well!
thank you!!
Oh I’ll be praying!!
hope you are healing up nicely.
Sending thoughts for a speedy recovery!
I had a gallbladder eviction a couple years ago. Good riddance. I’ve experienced a lot of pain in my life, but no pain compared to gall bladder pain. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
I hope you are feeling better and everything went very well.
Hope the surgery went well and wishing you a speedy recovery as well as a very happy New Year 2012!
Hope all went well and you are feeling great in no time.
I hope you recover well!
thanks Rita, I hope so too!
I hope all went well with the surgery and you have a smooth recovery!
OMG this is scary funny. People would think it has been photoshop. MY husband had a gallbladder episode in November. He thought he was having a heart attack. Very similar pain apparently. He has stones in his. Haven’t seen the surgeon yet. Don’t know what he will decide; to remove the stones or the whole thing. I get so sick on anesthetic. They have to give me gravol. Hope all is well. Take it easy you deserve the rest. Hugs
Hi Josee!!
As usual, me on anesthetic didn’t go well at all. And yes, it;s the worst pain EVER!
Alas, I just tried toast and butter – and pain again. No butter/fats!!!
Ouch!!!
Hope your surgery went well and that you have a speedy recovery!
thanks Jayme!!!
Hugs!
Sending you wishes for a speedy recovery…but Tammi warn us the next time you post something as scary as that ultrasound..lol. Take care and get lots of rest.
ha!!! I throw curveballs once in a while, Beb. Keeps everyone on their toes!
🙂
Beb – DEB, I blame the Morphine….
ok, trying to type laying down. Doesn’t work that well….
Freaky image! Looks like a mocking ghost 🙂
I hope all went well and that you are recovering comfortably. Hugs!! xo
not so comfortable, but I’m getting by!
Freaky isn’t it?!
Good thing I had my phone to sneak a pic when I had my u/s, it was too creepy NOT to take a picture of!!

{{{hugs}}} You should feel much better now it’s gone (at least once you’ve recovered from the op) – I know I did 🙂
thank you, I like knowing there’s light at the end. Right now, ouch!!!!
I hope you are all well & have a speedy recovery – I have no idea you can live without the Gallbladder :O
well, let’s hope its possible since mine’s gone!!!
Ha!!
I had mine out in August, recovery was swift (less than 2 weeks), and I have not had one problem since. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!
thanks Carole, that is so nice to hear right now. Day 1 is the worst right?
You bet sweetheart 🙂 I actually found trying to get comfortable while sleeping was the worst part, but once I had my configuration of 8 or so pillows – Under the knees etc… I was fine. And heck, it was way better than those nights where I lay awake for hours due to pain from my gall bladder 🙂
That is a really creepy picture, you would see it on a horror movie.. Hope you are recovering 🙂
hope you are doing ok….wishing you an uneventful and full and quick recovery!
Good luck, and here’s to pain free from here on out.
thanks erin – I’m really hoping so!!!
Oh wow! That is kind of freaky. I hope you have a quick recovery!
I hope you will be okay! Good luck to you! What an original ultrasound photo you have! 🙂
Many hug´s,,
Verena
Aww, Tammi! Feel better soon!!!
Gallbladders are definitely no fun, and I’m sure you won’t miss it either, but just be careful what you eat. Since I’ve had mine out bacon & I don’t agree at all! Our prayers are with you.
no!!!! bacon? you poor guy!
Well, I may have just kept it if I had know that! lol
I learned the hard way last night when I tried some toast and butter. Instant attack, no butter for me…. 🙁
eeek, that’s quite the ultrasound! You got to lay in bed? Nice. I had my gall bladder out just before xmas & was up with hubby & the baby in the days afterwards. good times :/
feel better soon!
That is definitely a creepy pic! I had mine out years ago, was tender for a couple of days, but no biggie (that was before kids though) 😀 Rest as much as you can.
Yes, kids complicate matters. I had a rough week, I reacted to 2 of the drugs they gave me… arg! Nothing is ever simple with me!
Rest up and feel better soon!
Hey Tammi, Now is the excuse to use happy drugs and have hubby cater to you:) Hope you feel better soon!
Hubby was AWESOME, really could not have asked for better help. Which is a good thing, cause those drugs – turns out I’m allergic to them. What a mess!! I’m finally starting to feel a tad better
Good Luck Tammy!
Tammi!!!
Thanks Louise, healing and taking it easy. The first few days were rough, looking forward to having more energy to ‘get my bloggin’ back on’
🙂
Hoping for your total recovery..
