Satisfy your cravings for comfort food with this easy Philly Cheesesteak Casserole. A new twist on the classic sandwich, in one convenient dish. Loaded with beef, onion, peppers, provolone cheese, and the best seasonings; it’s an easy recipe that is perfect for weeknight dinner or even potlucks.
Cook the pasta according to the directions, which will be approximately 7-9 minutes. While the pasta is cooking continue with the recipe.
In a large saute pan add the ground beef, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, coarse kosher salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes when the meat is halfway cooked.
Add the peppers, sliced onion, and mushrooms. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Add the minced garlic. Stir for 1 minute or until the garlic is fragrant.
Add 3 slices of provolone cheese, cream cheese, beef broth, and pasta water. Mix for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce is thick.
Taste to see if more salt and pepper is needed.
Add the pasta and mix until combined.
Top the pasta with 6 slices of provolone cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Turn the oven to broil at 500° F. Broil for 5 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Top with parsley.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
