1/2cupPlum ketchupif not available, regular ketchup will do
1tbspApple Cider Vinegar
1tspOnion powder
1tbspCornstarch
2tbspWater
Salt and Pepperas desired
Instructions
Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
Season the pork with salt and pepper. Place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add the apples and the onions .
In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, garlic, onion powder, ketchup, apple cider vinegar. Mix well and pour into the slow cooker .
Cook on low for approximately 7 – 8 hours, or until the apples are soft, and the pork is tender and cooked through
Approximately ½ - 1 hour or so before serving, mix together the cornstarch and water, and pour into the slow cooker. Mix around well and replace the lid. Cook the half hour or until the sauce has thickened
Serve with rice and enjoy
Notes
Place any cooled leftover pork in an airtight container or covered well with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
