Bisquick Sausage Breakfast Casserole is easy to put together and really delicious. This sausage egg bake also has cheese, bacon and bisquick. A great breakfast or brunch for a special occasion to the everyday.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, onions, and bacon bits. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onions are softened and the bacon bits are warm.
Add the sausage, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Break apart the ground sausage with a wooden spoon while cooking. Cook 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sausage may still have some pink color, but this is okay, it will finish cooking in the oven.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Set aside.
Add the Bisquick, milk, eggs, and cheese into a medium mixing bowl. Mix until all ingredients are blended. Pour the Bisquick mixture over the sausage.
Bake in the preheated oven for 28-30 minutes, or until the cheese is nice and golden to your liking. If the edges start to brown too early, cover with aluminum foil.
When done, serve and enjoy.
Notes
Add other vegetables to skillet such as mushrooms or bell pepper.
You can use ground beef, and ground chicken instead of ground sausage.
Instead of 1 large casserole dish, use greased muffin tins to make individual servings.
