Wordless Wednesday ~ Silence {w/Linky}

I smile at the chatter in the back of the van, the girls sharing stories and giggles. At almost 3, they seem to have the funniest conversations in the back seats in the car. But mark my words, fight, my twin toddler do best. And not even being restrained in seats can stop the bickering, arguing and trying to pull and swap one another. And there’s nothing worse than being stuck in a small space with fighting kids. Yet on occasion when the loud and high pitched squeals cease, they succumb to the sleep that their little bodies need.

Silence. What beautiful silence!

  1. Silence can definitely be golden. Even on those shortest rides, bickering can become overwhelming!

    1. Tell me about it, I often think that screaming, flailing and bouncing kids is more distracting to a driver than cell phones…it sure rattles me at times!

  2. Ha!! Get a mini van and put one in the middle and 1 in the 3rd row… πŸ™‚

  3. Oh, how I can relate! Yesterday, I waved to my 4 year old and his dad as I bolted out the door with car seat in hand for a drive around the block to get our 6 month old to sleep. Gotta love those silent moments in the car.

  4. I love pictures of sleeping kids. They always look so at peace. But how I miss those days of napping in the back of the car! My two are at it non-stop. We’ve had to institute the “silent” game in car rides. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

  5. I bet when THAT happens, you’re thanking the heavens! LOL
    They ARE pretty cute when they’re sleeping though xD

  6. Kids are so beautiful when they’re asleep! It almost makes me wonder if I imagined all the arguing. Almost. πŸ˜‰
