The Land Of Nod, Child’s Sewing Machine

The The Land of Nod has to be online’s magical place for children! They carry the most gorgeous kids furniture, gear and room decor as well as classic and traditional toys as well. I can’t help but to browse the site and make wish-lists of all the things I would love for the girls. It seems like every product stems a great idea, and is part of a certain look, and all appeal to both the parents and the kids who will love them.

One of the things my daughter has openly expressed to wanting, is her own sewing machine. The has little kid versions of no-sew fashion kits, yet she gets bored with that fast. When I need to break out my sewing kit and machine, she is alwasy right there – wanting to make something or fix a garment as well. And at 6, she has a knack for sewing already! She even made her barbie a shirt, cutting fabrics and using safety pins. So, it only makes sense, as a parent, to feed her interests and allow her to grow her skills. That is why I was so excited to get the There’s No Business Like Sew Business from The Land Of Nod. The box alone is going to excite her, but I know without a doubt, that she will love this machine!

There’s No Business Like Sew Business, is a child-sized sewing machine! Yet, it has some great grown-up features that any serious’ seamstress would enjoy:

  • Features adjustable stitch lengths, 4 easy drop-in bobbin, 2 machine needles and two speeds for added safety
  • Includes sewing machine, 4 bobbins, 2 machine needles, threader, felt, ric rac, pin cushion, sewing needles, straight pins, scissors, thread, buttons, measuring tape, thimble, ribbon trim and two yards of floral fabric
  • Simple instructions included
  • Lightweight and portable
  • Works with included AC adapter or 4 standard AA batteries (not included)

Isn’t that the most adorable sewing box too? This is a wonderful starter machine that actually works like an adult-sized machine. It’s kid-friendly yet gives them the feeling that they are working on a ‘real’ machine. It’s intended for ages 8 and up, yet I think my daughter will only need full parental assistance for a short time. I can’t wait for all the new doll clothes!

I recently came across The Land of Nod website and was drawn in by their large selection of unique and adorable children’s items. The company was run out of the home of the founders based in Northbrook, Illinois, from 1996 until 2000 when they were approached by Crate & Barrel. They accepted partnership offer and have been steadily growing ever since, and have become a well known and highly trusted name in kids’ products. Now that’s a great success story!

Directly from their site: At The Land of Nod you’ll can find everything for your kids’ room from A to ZZZ! Shop for beds, bunks, bookcases, desks, play tables and chairs, cribs, dressers, wall décor, kids’ bedding, rugs and soft seating. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The Land of Nod now has Baby Gear including strollers, car seats, baby carriers, high chairs, baby seats and bouncers, bath and potty products, skin care products, and organic and eco-friendly products!

That alone states why it would make a great place to purchase from – one-stop shopping! {not to mention the great sales that are always happening}.

Disclosure: I was provided with product to facilitate this post, opinions are my own.
