Thankful

This past weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada.

There was 5 whole days off school which made me long for Summer holidays, already! Thanksgiving and the sappiness that comes with the glory of sleeping in again made me think.

I am Thankful.

For days spent in pyjamas. The gathering of family to enjoy a meal that literally puts you in a turkey coma. For these 3 beauties that keep me happy despite testing my patience daily. My Chaos wouldn’t be the same without my twins plus one, for sure.

Katelyn and Sophia, whom also apparently get into their big sisters dress-up makeup. Isabelle also recently got new glasses which I just cannot stop raving about, I think they look absolutely great on her.

Of course, keeping it real, I’m also thankful for the candy stash that overfills my pantry from our trip to Walt Disney World where we trick or treated at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s like the most awesome practice for Halloween. Who’s Will Power?

Speaking of, there’s a new-to-me candy that I’ve never seen In Canada. ‘Now & Later’ is something which I have fallen in love with. Where have you been all my life little fruit chew?

now and later candy

Yes, very thankful indeed.

  3. I would love to take my little girl (and her bigger siblings) to that Disney Halloween party. It sounds so neat. There’s a big kid inside of me. Your girls are lovely!

  4. I am quite jealous that Thanksgiving comes so early for you. Maybe I should apply for dual citizenship, so I can have two. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I rarely get to see my siblings since we live all over the country/world, but we seem to always get home on Turkey Day.

On another note, your girls are beautiful. I also think Isabella’s glasses are super cute.

  16. This weekend we got to see o=my husbands parents for the first time in over a year and a half. I guess that’s what can happen when you move to the bloody Yukon! They came to see our new house and town (Burns Lake) and bring us some of our treasures that were left at thier house when we moved up North. It was wonderful to see them, and we got to have a fantastic holiday weekend and time visiting.

  19. are those candies sort of like a starburst candy but better? If so, you might find something similar in an Asian store…there’s some called Hi-chews and then others as well that I forget the name of…but they are wonderful.
