Pediped Spring & Summer 2011 Shoe Collection

All my girls have worn shoes made by Pediped, I quite like the fashionable look and kid-friendly durability. Pediped just announced their Spring & Summer 2011 Collection, and not only is it their largest collection to date, in it is the debut of the new Adventure Line. The Adventure Line is an innovative collection of eco-friendly, machine washable, water-safe shoes. Being an expansion of the popular Pediped® Flex® line, the Adventure Line also offers style, protection and comfort both in and out of the water.

For review, we were sent the Amazon Fuchsia Flex Shoes {shown in above left photo}, from the new Adventure Line. At first I noticed the great shape and vibrant color of the shoe. The shoe is a tad too big for the twins to wear right now, yet this is for a reason. We won’t be graced with warm summer weather here in Western Canada for another few months. Considering that it’s only a bit too big, I know that come time to ditch the boots – these will fit perfectly. The material for these shoes allows it to be great for dirt, mud, water and anything else kids explore in during the summer. Kid-friendly and Mom approved! Made with eco-friendly materials, the Amazon Flex Shoes are just as friendly for the environment too. I must also note that they are very lightweight as well, so even water and mud-bogged, these won’t weigh kids down. While I am prone to purchase a more strappy and feminine shoes for my girls, I see some great benefits of this type. The biggest being that it hugs the foot, and lessens the chance that my running toddlers will trip over the toe lip or straps will come loose. Plus, the great sole grip and wide Velcro strap will allow for added stability. I know my kids will play hard this summer wearing this pair. And did I mention they are machine washable? Here are the features of this shoe:

  • •All natural rubber sole
  • Water-safe shoe that features toe caps and Velcro straps that make this shoe perfect for any outdoor activity
  • Machine washable
  • Water-safe
  • Approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association for promoting healthy foot development

Pediped has three lines of shoes for each stage of a child’s development: The Originals are for children learning to walk, and have a soft sole. The Grip n Go are for toddlers transitioning from early walking to confident walking. And, the Flex line are for children who are confident walkers. Sizes range from newborn up to US 3 {or roughly an 8-9 year old}.
Pediped® was one of the first children’s shoe brands to earn the American Podiatric Medical Associations (APMA) seal of approval for promoting healthy foot development. pediped® was recently endorsed by researchers associated
with Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital Boston. All pediped® shoes meet the researchers required characteristics for healthy children’s shoes including a roomy toe box, flexible soles and superior breath-ability.
