Unwind and Unplug at Nipika Mountain Resort

In the breathtaking British Columbia Rockies, there is a mountain resort called Nipika, nestled in a valley just outside Kootenay National Park. Just a 20 minute drive from Invermere, Nipika Mountain Resort is a place that brings you back to the basics. It’s a resort that the family goes to unwind, connect, unplug and play.

Accommodations at Nipika Mountain Resort are hand-built and beautiful log cabins. The workmanship is truly amazing, you cannot help but stand in any of the cabins and study the pride that went into building it.

Each cabin has a full kitchen, many bedrooms, bath, wood burning fireplace {copped wood is complimentary and piled outside each door}.

Well decorated and extremely clean, each cabin comes with the basics of towels and soaps – you need only bring your personal items and food.

Nipika Mountain Resort is eco-friendly and respectful of the beautiful surroundings. The entire resort is run by solar panels, bulbs are low wattage and on timers so that you cannot waste. Guests are discouraged from bringing anything that plugs in and heats up {leave those blow dryers at home}.

So, instead of that convenient Keurig you’ll find a kettle and french press in the cabins. It just makes sitting on your patio and looking at this, all worth it.

Nipika Mountain Resort is in the heart of the rocky mountains, so take advantage of the trials, biking, hiking, horse back riding {the resort has stables}, and local water rafting. In the winter, ski and snowshoe away! Yet, no matter the time of year, notice the peace, the quiet and the solitude.

We went for a wedding and the entire resort was booked for the celebration, and it was one gorgeous wedding. A lot of our time was spent by one of the bonfires and visiting with family and friends. Nipika Mountain Resort is popular for large families {our cabin slept 8}, reunions, to couple getaways.

This resort is within an hours drive from Banff {Alberta}, the Columbia Valley, Radium Hot Springs, and Yoho National Parks It truly is a “resort for outdoor enthusiasts which is luxurious, energy efficient, and complementary to our spectacular setting”.
