Month In Photos: July 2014

JULY 2014 was again another beautiful month for weather in Alberta. The majority of the month was spent in a heat wave, which resulted in us getting air conditioning for the home. Crazy canucks right? A few days of super hot weather out of the year and we’re installing the AC.

Yet, a cooler house really helped with my cake decorating this year since this month the twins turned 6! They had a fantastic FROZEN themed party {sharing all the details soon, I promise!}.

It was a great birthday, the smiles on their faces warmed my heart. Birthdays are always a little stressful for me {I put a lot of pressure on myself}, but it’s once a year and the memories are worth it! Month In Photos: July 2014

The start of July 2014 was a great one – I taught the twins how to ride a bike! It was my mission for the summer and I was surprised they learned so quickly. So, of course I had to get myself a bike, after not being on one in over 15 years I’m sure. We’ve been riding a lot this past month, with only once incident of Sophia hitting gravel. Road rash everywhere, she looked like a mothers nightmare. Yet, she healed very quickly and it didn’t hinder her riding. Thank god!

In July we celebrated Canada Day, my oldest was in the city parade and we took in the Westerner Days fair as well.

We also spent a wonderful weekend at Pine Lake, glamping it up in cabins. Since we RV camp a lot, it was a completely different experience to stay in cabins. For those wondering, I do love both!

My oldest had cheer camp for a week and the twins are currently in a week of theatre camp. Each camp is only a few hours a day, so it’s a good chance for me to get errands done and for them to see friends.

Indeed it was a busy but fun July 2014. Remember, we only have 18 summers with the kids – so we need to make each one count!

How was your July 2014?
