How to Set up the Mickey Mote

DVD and EpisodeWalt Disney Home Entertainment has released an all new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD, Minnie’s Masquerade. Included in this new release is a never before seen episode and four others that center around Minnie Mouse. Disney has packaged a version of Minnie’s Masquerade to include the exclusive Mickey Mote – a child-friendly handheld remote control. Shaped like Mickey’s ears, the Mickey Mote allows for interactive play when the DVD is chosen to be viewed with the remote {though you can just watch it without the Mote as well}. For information on the Mickey Mote, check out my previous post which also includes how to set up the Mickey Mote.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Masquerade starring Disney’s Fab Five — Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Daisy – takes viewers on an all new adventure as they dress-up in their favorite costumes for Minnie’s Masquerade Ball. In this episode, Minnie needs some help getting everything ready for her party including making royal crowns for their costumes, searching for Sir Goofalot’s lost shoe, stringing up paper lanterns and much, much more. At the ball, Professor Von Drake hosts the great Clubhouse Costume Show and gives out prize ribbons to all the friends who have dressed up in some funny and fancy costumes. All it takes is a heaping helping of imagination…and the right Mouseketools.

My girls were so excited to get Minnie’s Masquerade, especially since this one focuses on Minnie who is wearing a pretty gown on the cover. What can I say? My daughters are true girly-girls! This DVD keeps toddlers well occupied at home or in the car. The focus is on fun with shapes, colors, counting and life skills such as friendship and teamwork. My oldest daughter loves watching this DVD and using the Mickey Mote. Though level 2 is pretty easy for her {there are 2 levels of play}, she still likes the interactive feature. The twins pretend to play along too, then when Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on, they have to hold their Mickey Motes just like their big sister. Minnie’s Masquerade includes a Valentine’s Day themed episode, which is perfect for this time of year. In it the friends make valentine’s for their friends, which led to some crafting with myself and the kids. The DVD also includes a paper mask that and one side can be embellished and decorated as a fun craft. The inside of the jacket can also be colored for added fun.

These are the 5 episodes in Minnie’s Masquerade:

  • Minnie’s Masquerade
  • Minnie’s Mouseke-Calendar
  • A Surprise for Minnie
  • Secret Spy Daisy
  • The Friendship Team
