iFly Hard Shell Luggage
A friend and I were visiting over coffee not too long ago and somehow the discussion centered around luggage. Two travel enthused women talking luggage? Not surprising right?
I discovered that she was still using the same luggage she got on her honeymoon while I was most likely on my 3rd or 4th set since then. In fact, I’ve experienced it all: rips, tears, handle breakage, and even a total zipper explosion at the airport just before sending it off for a flight. Anyone have duct tape?
I guess you can say that it’s been my mission for a long time, to find that perfect set of luggage. You know, the brand and style that will put up with me, and all the travel I constantly throw at it. Perhaps it was time to totally change my view on luggage and step outside of the ‘neutral coloured fabric sets’ I’ve always had in the past.
An introduction to iFly came at perfect timing, just when I was perusing over our Winter vacation schedule. Once again I was debating on that 5th set purchase, and an iFly funky hard shell suitcase landed onto my doorstep for review.
Hello new travel buddy!
First instinct? You’ll never miss this baby coming down the carousel, right? There’s no mistaking that bag is mine – it’s the iFly 28″ Hard Side 8-Wheeled Spinner Luggage in the Nostalgic Stamps design.
With a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty, it’s huge and it holds a lot in it! Yet, it’s extremely light at just 5kg. For someone who’s always panicking a little when it comes time to weigh the luggage, this is a blessing. I also love the separate zippered section on the top side, genius!
This luggage can expand even larger and features a 4-wheel spinner system, a must-have when it comes to travelling, especially when you have the family in tow. We are traveling next week {bring on the tropics!}, and I’m looking forward to bringing my new iFly along for the adventure. I guess I should start thinking about packing, huh?
The brand is known for their funky hard shell luggage designs ranging from kids ‘Hello Kitty’ and ‘Angry Birds’ to trendy ‘New York Taxi Cab’ and ‘Park in Paris’.

I love the luggage with the Canada flag, so now when I travel with my daughter for her dance competitions outside of Canada. I can have myself a really suitcase instead of a bag and be proud to show I am a Canadian.

…just curious since I just acquired a piece and was reading many blogs …most people say it did not stand up well to real travel stresses. That the wheels are close to the outer edge and many have had break up of plastic or cracks around wheels, etc Also, I wondered..how do you LOCK these , since they only have a zipper or is locking suitcases an outdated gesture ! Thanks !
