HP Slate 7 Tablet

I can bet there’s a lot of wish-lists that include a tablet! The HP Slate 7 tablet is one that has great features and will not break the bank!

The HP Slate 7 tablet is a sleek, 7-inch diagonal touchscreen tablet that weighs just 13 ounces, making it an ideal affordable device for people on-the-go.

In fact, it’s one of the lightest tablets that I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. You can see the size in comparison to the HP mouse.

With the HP Slate 7 you can stay on top of your busy schedule with onboard apps, there are so many to choose from from the Google Play Store. In a matter of minutes I was able to set up mine just the way I like it, all apps that I use most often at convenient reach.

Yet, I’m a photo-bug at heart, so I need any device to be photo-friendly. The HP Slate 7 {which runs on Android 4.1} can capture photos and videos with it’s 3MP camera on the back.

The Slate 7 is also the industry’s first tablet to feature Beats AudioT for the best-sounding richest audio available on a tablet. In fact, this is the one feature that my husband loves most, he always has way more music on his devices than myself.

He loves the Beats Audio on our other HP products {desktop and laptop}, and squealed with delight that it was on the Google Play HP Slate 7 Tablet as well. For this reason, he happily claimed the HP Slate 7 Tablet as his own!

I recently discovered that I could print photos and attachments from my phone, and I’ve been doing it a lot! Funny how you discover a feature and wonder how you ever managed without. I’m happy to report that printing is a breeze with the built-in HP ePrint app. You can email important documents and memorable photos to any ePrint-enabled HP printer and have them waiting for you at home or the office.

The Slate 7 is available on HPShopping.ca for CDN$149.99, a great price for a feature-loaded tablet! While the red I received is exclusive and no longer available in Canada, you can get yours in a brilliant silver. The HP Slate 7 Tablet is such an affordable and easy-to-use Android tablet that would make an amazing holiday gift idea for kids, students and adults alike!

  1. Thanks for the review. This sounds like a good tablet for the price. Will take a look at it since I have a tablet on my to buy list for Christmas.

  2. Love all the features…..crossing my fingers Santa might bring one for me! (not likely but dreaming is still free!) 😉

  3. Great review, we have been looking around at tablets and this one sounds like a great option for us.

  4. This sounds like something I could use. I will have to put it on my Christmas list.

  5. thanks for the review!! would love to get one of these. christmas gift from the hubby maybe 🙂

  6. Wow! This looks amazing! It has a nice sleek look to it and is so functional, too.

  7. Thinking of getting a tablet after Christmas. (if its not under the tree 😉 Thank you for your review, some great features.

  8. I am a part student and at times, I would love the convenience of having a light weight device. I don’t like dragging a laptop around and rarely do I feel the need to use it. However, there is a medical dictionary I would love to install, but not on my laptop. The dictionary costs about the same as the tablet, but my god. I need cart with wheels to take that thing anywhere!

  9. Great review, I have wanted a tablet for a long time but they have always been out of my budget. I will have to check this one out for sure.
