Goldfish Moments

GoldfishGoldfish Moments : Goldfish by Pepperidge Farms have been apart of all 3 of my kids’ lives. I can vividly recall their little tiny fingers holding the classic fish cracker, ‘swimming’ around the kitchen while I cook. This little delicious snack very well could have been their first introduction to fish of any kind!

While shopping, Goldfish were my saviour in keeping the girls occupied and happy while I got the task done. Then, during a family trip to Mexico, I can still close my eyes and see the twins sitting poolside sharing Goldfish as an afternoon snack. Something familiar and comforting in an otherwise ‘strange’ surroundings!

We always opted for the original Goldfish flavor when the kids were wee little ones, yet now they have two new Graham varieties on the shelves to enjoy – Honey and Chocolate!

cameraThe kids and I have a strong preference to the new Goldfish Grahams Honey crackers which swam into stores in 2011. Then, for a sweet snack without the parenting guilt of throwing the kids a high-calorie snack, the Grahams Chocolate are a good choice. Both Grahams Honey and Chocolate are Baked, Contain no artificial colours or flavours and are Low in saturated fat with zero trans fat.

Just a tip from this Mom, the Goldfish Grahams Chocolate pair nicely in a bowl of ice cream as well! OK, I guess the fish is out of the tank, I will not deny that us adults have been caught numerous times snaking a handful from the pantry from time to time.

Goldfish and Snack

In fact, on a recent shopping trip I not only found my favorite Goldfish on sale {and had a coupon!}, but also saw the most adorable little storage bags as well!

Our trip to Mexico was my personal favorite Goldfish Moment. Yet countless times I have praised Finn and his friends for keeping my kids happy and occupied; whether on a flight, in the car, for school snacks or just at home.

  28. When my son was 5, we were getting ready for a movie afternoon after picked him up from preschool. I let him hold a new pack of gold school and proceed to get the dvd in the player, get our drink.

About 5 minutes to get everything right, little did I know my boy had already finished to whole pack @@ when he pass me the empty box.

Gold fish is something I pack in his lunch box almost daily.

  29. My favorite most recent Goldfish memory is from this past summer helping friends build their cabin. There is not much around the area so we bring our own meals/snacks. I remember a great weekend with good friends, great weather and Goldfish crackers to keep us going! 🙂

  30. I have enjoyed watching my niece growing up enjoying her goldfishes, and still at 8 its a favorite treat for her.

  38. Goldfish was the only snack my oldest would eat at school when he was in Kindergarten. Most days I would pick him up and the teacher’s assistant would say that he refused to eat snack and I would always feel guilty that he hadn’t eaten and that he was giving her a hard time. But on days when they had Goldfish, pick-up was always stress-free!

  39. My Goldfish Moment was taking my little one on his first plane ride. He was somewhat apprehensive about the trip. I packed snacks and lots of activities to keep him occupied, but don’t ask me how but I forgot the Goldfish crackers.
