Glimpses of Summer
I look at the calendar and cringe.
While I’m excited about back to school, there’s a lot of dread as well since Summer comes to an end. Sure, we’ll have some nice days in September before ‘W’ starts to show {I can’t even say the word!}. Yet, I already see the grass browning, the leaves changing. It’s all fading, Nooooo!
My Wordless Wednesday this week is just random glimpses of this last week, captures of a Summer enjoyed. These last couple of months have been incredible, and I’m hoping to really make these last 12 days of Summer count. End with a bang, who’s with me?

Oooo, looks like you guys went to some kind of festival?? I can’t even remember the last time I went to an outdoor ANYTHING! It’s pretty sad. Looks like a lot of fun though!

Doesn’t it feel like summer just started and now it’s about over? So depressing! However, I do look forward to all the yummy apple recipes I like to make in the fall, and of course, Halloween!

That’s a pretty sweet Escalade! I always wanted some Power Wheels when I was a kid. My brother ended up getting a monster truck, but my sister and I were too big by then.
I never had one either, would have loved to though – I think I totally missed out!
We are nearly finished winter here in Australia and I can’t wait until summer starts!

You have been noticing the leaves changing too!? I have been complaining for the past week that a lot of the leaves on my trees are already yellow and orange and no one has believed me without seeing it for themselves. It has been depressing me, honestly. Summer went by so quickly–faster than any summer in recent years. It feels like it just began and suddenly it’s cold at night and the leaves are changing and people keep talking about back-to-school and pumpkins and Halloween. Ahhh!
I posted an instagram 2-3 weeks ago of them changing – INSANE!!
It feels like Summer is getting shorter and shorter, it’s depressing!

School started today and it’s bittersweet. I’ll miss the days at the pool but then again, now I get the pool to myself 😉
