Furry Frenzies Scoot & Scurry City | Hasbro Review

Furry Frenzies Scoot & Scurry City! One of the most popular toys of this holiday season is certainly Furry Frenzies, the little friends that scurry and scamper around the house. The comparible product would be ZsuZsu pets, which have been around for a while now. Furry Frenzies are Hasbro’s take on this product – with noticeable differences. ZsuZsu pets are all hamsters, while Furry Frenzies have branched out and are other animals. For instance, there is a cat, a dog, a squirrel, and more.

The wheels are a little different, and most noticeable is the price of the two – Furry Friends run a couple dollars less in price than their competition {and frugal me says this is a wonderful thing!}. My daughters always have their Furry Frenzies in a shoe box, or a make-shift home and play center {always playing house!}.

The Furry Frenzies Scoot & Scurry City is intended for ages 3+ due to small parts. It comes with the playset and one Furry Frenzy, Tizzy Tumbles the Bunny. It’s a home and play area for Furry Frenzies to play and explore. There’s plenty to do: swinging gates, ramps, tunnels, and even a beauty parlor. It provides for fun and imaginative play. And, Tizzy doesn’t just go around and around in the same direction, as you can open or close certain gates to guide him in changing direction. As he runs about, Tizzy makes adorable sounds and noises as he goes. Just cute! The girls love this set, and it’s big enough for all of them to play. There is some parental help with the Twins though, as sometimes they try to open a gate {for example}, and the gate comes off. But, that’s just little hands and not the quality of this set.

One thing I have to mention: when taking the pieces out of the box, a million parts and baggies came out. I felt discouraged until I saw just how easy this is to put together. SUPER easy! The instructions show step-by-step, and are very detailed. Actually, considering the great number of pieces, it has been one of the quickest toys to assemble in a long time. Yet, since there is assembly – parents, it’s better to put this together before you give it to the kids. They have little patience and will want to play with this NOW. So, save yourself the grief and assemble without them next to you. As well, this set needs 2 AAA batteries, which are not included.

Made by Hasbro, this Furry Frenzie city is available in stores and online – this set is very easy to purchase. And, it’s on sale right now at Amazon.com for just $14.99. For the huge impressin it has on the kids, I’d say that is definitely worth it!! Just think of it this way, a Furry Frenzie retails for about $8-$9 CAD, and this set comes with one Furry Frenzie. So, you are actually only paying $6-$7 for this set…..yep, worth the extra few dollars!
