Eliminate Mosquitos at the Source with Greenstrike
I often say that I love everything about summer, but that isn’t 100% true. My biggest gripe is the mosquitoes that we have here in the Canadian prairies. Since we have tons of green space, and we love to live outdoors in the summer – mosquitoes are a big summertime pest.
Plus, I am a mosquito magnet. I usually get bit within seconds of walking out the door. As well, I could be with a group of people that walk away unscathed and I leave with dozens of bites, no matter what sprays and creams I apply. I am also the type that has a huge reaction to mosquito bites, the area becomes very swollen to the point of painful. I’m always so worried about mosquito-caused viruses, as I know I’d be a prime candidate.
There’s good news on the horizon though, I’ve been taking back summer and my comfort with thanks to GreenStrike Mosquito Preventer.
Instead of catching and zapping incoming mosquitos, GreenStrike solves root of the problem and prevents them from multiplying. This innovative pond replica lures mosquitos and encourages the females to lay their eggs right in the device.
Using a Zero-Hatch technology filtration system, it kills the eggs thereby minimizing the mosquito population in that area. Makes all other mosquito ‘solutions’ counterproductive and temporary, huh?
Once female mosquitos start using GreenStrike Mosquito Preventer for their hatching ground, other females see this as a prime location, making it even more appealing to mosquitoes from then on. So in other words, the more you use it, the greater it becomes to prevent reproduction.
Since mosquitoes are most active at dusk and dawn, the Mosquito Preventer also includes an LED light that turns on at key periods to mimic light reflecting off of water.
Setting up GreenStrike Mosquito Preventer could not be easier, the instructions are very straightforward. Note that you do need fresh rain water {or distilled water} for the pond chamber, and batteries are included.
The Mosquito Preventer has undergone scientific and in-field testing in some of the most mosquito-rich geographic areas in the world. In one 32 week study, The Mosquito Preventer collected up to 5x more mosquito eggs than a control sample containing pond water.
I have our GreenStrike Mosquito Preventer set up right beside the deck, at the base of some trees. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and even when filled with water, it’s easy to move it around. When compared to ugly paper traps and citronella candles, I very much like having this device a whole lot better. I sometimes forget it’s even there!
It took about a week after setup for me to notice a difference, I was enjoying some much-needed sun while on the deck at dusk {right after a few days of rain}, and realized that I wasn’t scratching and fanning away mosquitos. Just think of the minimal mosquito population is everyone had GreenStike!
Next summer I plan on getting another GreenStrike Mosquito Preventer for our seasonal camping lot, as the mosquitoes are extremely bad there, and we spend even more time outdoors when camping.
The GreenStrike Mosquito Preventer is sold exclusively at Home Hardware!

I really need to get this. In addition to being beautiful, Florida is home to gigantic prehistoric monster mosquitoes.
I really need this, during the summertime there’s so many mosquitoes around it’s a little bothersome.
It’s awesome how well this works! It’s been so nice to be outside in the evening now.
I am willing to try anything when it comes to getting rid of mosquitoes. We have a ton of those little buggers around I will be checking this out!
We live near a creek, so we have a ton of mosquitoes. This would be perfect for my yard.
Wow, this is so cool! I have never spotted anything like this before, but I need one!
We do not live in a very mosquito prone area but can only imagine what a nuisance they are. It is nice to seen preventative methods becoming more technologically advanced.
This is so wonderful! Mosquitos are so bad this year and I would love a way to get them away from where we like to hang out. What a great product.
I live in Florida and the humidity is the perfect environment for gigantic mosquitos. I would love to try this out and see if it cuts them down in the yard!
This sounds like an incredibly effective system. When the water rises in the creek behind us the mosquitoes get pretty bad.
I think we need one of these desperately! We get such thick mosquitoes because of living a few miles from a lake. I’m so tired of being covered in mosquito bites!
Oh my goodness, we totally need this. This is the first year that we have actually had quite a bit of rain here in Texas, which has been great, but it also means that the mosquitoes are worst than they have ever been.
This would be a great way to eliminate mosquitoes!!! They have been awful this summer, I bet this is perfect for outdoor get togethers.
In the South we have a lot of mosquitoes. I definitely don’t want one biting my dogs. I will have to look into this.
this is sooo cool and i like the way it looks. it has a sleek look to it. lol. nice
Lol. I am the mosquito magnet in my family. My kids are fine, but I will get eaten alive. I have got to get one of these for our back porch area.
Mosquitos have been horrible in Texas this year! I wish I have had this all summer!
Same! It works very well!
I need this for my back yard. I hate mosquitoes. I am allergic to them and they seem to love me.
This would be amazing to have in the yard. The kids are always getting bitten by mosquitoes. It would be perfect by the pool.
Our backyard goes right up against woods with a swamp. This would be perfect because it’s mosquito land here.
I have never heard of this product until now. I want one of these, so we can stay outside more often.
there’s been so many mosquitoes here with all the damp weather
We definitely need this. We get these uninvited guest to our outdoor outings far too often.
ALWAYS! lol
I do need something like this to enjoy the garden more. Mosquitos love me.
I understand that love! ugh!
I want one of these quite badly. There’s nothing I hate more than insects that bite.
These look awesome and something I should look into investing, I too get eaten alive by the little buggers and it prevents us from enjoying sitting out!!
This looks super I so need one here!!!
We need this so badly! The kids can barely play out in our yard this summer, the mosquitos are so bad!
Could use this in my backyard. My hubby is just like you. The mosquitoes are drawn to him, and I never get any.
