The Parks are Crowded

Everyone has heard about just how crowded the parks are, but most first timers don’t understand just how busy those parks are even during slow seasons. Don’t underestimate how many people will be there, especially during holidays. Before you go, you should do some research on the best times in order to go during less crowded times yet be prepared for the park to be busier than you’d expect – and try not to let the crowds ruin your time.

Disney is Expensive

I’m blunt about it – Disney is expensive. It’s important to fully understand just how much your trip will cost before you go. Do some research on the prices of restaurants and hotels so you won’t be taken back by the sticker shock. Remember, there are ways to save such as the park’s dining plan and off-site hotels – sop plan according to your budget.

Stay on the Property your First Time

Disney resorts are more expensive at face value than staying off site. However, there are so many perks to being in one of the resorts. Staying on the property will give you complimentary transportation to and from the parks, airport shuttles, Extra Magic Hours, and more! Plus, the Disney resorts are surrounded by cast members that are ready to help make your vacation magical. It’s an experience that you need at least once.

Pick your spot for the Parades and Fireworks early

If you have never seen the Disney parades or fireworks, you don’t want to miss them! These areas will get crowded very fast, and you won’t be able to find a spot if you wait until the last minute. For example with The Magic Kingdom, you can see the firework show from the Polynesian resort – yet the first time needs to have the full view. It’s breathtaking. So, be on the lookout for opportunities to get the best seats for these shows, and plan your day accordingly.

FastPasses are Included with your Tickets

Disney does not charge extra for FastPasses. These allow you to skip the line on some rides, allowing you to ride as many rides as possible during your trip. Many think that you can only have one FastPass at a time, but it’s instead on a timer. So when in doubt and passing by a FastPass section, stop and swipe!

Do your Dining Reservations in Advance

Disney table service restaurants will fill up quick. Look up the menus in advance and decide where you would like to dine, and book your reservation immediately. No reservation will mean no table if you don’t jump on them quick!
