Cleaning – The Easy Way

We are home after a lovely 2 week vacation in the beautiful Turks & Caicos Islands. While I’ll be talking more about the trip in other posts {can’t wait}, right now I am neck-high in the reality of home life, cleaning, end of school year stuff, activities etc etc etc.

Literally thrust back into reality without my water wings {or piña colada}.

Yet, I’m taking on chaos like a boss thanks to some organization, determination to get it all done – and some great products that leave me feeling like a master.

9 loads of laundry – DONE! I kept on top of it and got all that sand, food, sunscreen and travel smell out thanks to OxiClean™ Stain removers has launched a brand new line of powerful laundry detergents

While I was taking care of the laundry from the trip as well as the usual day-to-day items, my husband was getting the 5th Wheel trailer ready for May-long weekend {cause there wasn’t enough to do around the home, we had to throw in a second home, right?}.

The trailer had been sitting in a field, in storage, for 9 months and it was absolutely disgusting. Hubby offered to tackle the trailer while I cleaned house #1, and he requested a ‘great cleaning product’.

I handed him the Scrub Free Bleach Mildew Remover and OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover Powder and they took care of it all. From counters to floors and everything in between, the trailer is ready for a great weekend!

Yet, part of getting the trailer ready for camping was re-washing ALL the kitchen dishes, utensils, bowls and everything that we have in the trailer. So, I entrusted OxiClean™ 4X Concentrated Extreme Power Crystals Dishwasher Detergent and OxiClean™ Dishwashing 2in1 Booster + Rinse Agent for this job. Again, I let these great products do the work – done and done.

It’s Cleaning – The Easy Way!

No more having to track down their favourite stuffed bunny or toy car, instead they will learn that making a mess and cleaning up go hand in hand.

Get kids to help in the kitchen by making it fun and easy: They can be your sous chef helping you prep and cook. Not only will this make dinner faster, but you’ll get to spend quality time together and they’ll learn a thing or two about cooking!

Get sparkly-clean dishes the first time around:  Now there is a powerful OxiClean™ dishwasher detergent that makes cleaning dishes easy. Just load the dishwasher and OxiClean™ will do the work, powering through the toughest messes without the need for pre-washing or rewashing the dishes. Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, yet as always, opinions are my own.

  1. if cleaning the microwave use a bowl of water with lemon juice heat it up in microwave and you can now wash the inside no problem.

  2. My best tip..hire someone else to do it 😉
Mix vinegar and Dawn. It’ll clean every surface.

  3. clean up clutter right away, don’t let it build up and when cleaning closets if you haven’t worn it for awhile time to get rid of it

  4. Clean a little bit every day, that way you won’t have a MEGA mess to deal with later 🙂

  5. My best spring cleaning tip is to do one room at a time so it doesn’t get overwhelming, and play some music…make it fun 🙂

  6. Don’t forget about those ceiling fan blades, get up there and give ’em a wipe…you’ll be surprised the build up!

  7. My tip would be that when you start cleaning something, make sure to complete it before moving on to something else.

  8. my tip make your bed first thing after you get up I find it motivates me to do other chores.

  9. My tip is to make your own glass cleaner by mixing water and vinegar in a spray bottle. Works well and is much cheaper than buying glass cleaner in the store.

  10. Make a list room by room and its so motivating to scratch the completed tasks off the list

  11. My spring cleaning tip is to make a to-do list and chip away at it by doing at least 1 task a day. I usually feel stumped on where to start, but once I made a list it gave me something to focus on, and it was exciting to check things off and see the list shrink daily, so I made progress much faster this year than in previous years.

  12. Purge! I find that during the colder months we tend to gather stuff and living indoors this stuff gets all over the place. Purge, purge, purge. I started on my spring cleaning last weekend where I began the purge with donations to local non-profits and last night was scrubbing cupboards and tops of cupboards. It always feels good when you get it all done.

  13. Part of my spring cleaning is to wash and repair any winter mitts, hats and outerwear so it is ready to donate or wear next winter.

  14. Focus on 1 room at a time, no matter what catches your eye when you’re going for clean water or something else..

  15. I get the jobs that I really dont like and get them out of the way first, then I move onto the stuff I dont mind doing. Maybe not a tip but it works for me 🙂

  16. When someone calls to see if you have any clothes or household items to donate. Say yes and than get started on cleaning out the stuff you no longer want.

  17. My best spring cleaning tip is to play music (loudly!) and tackle one job/one room at a time!

  18. Baking soda and vinegar does wonders. It doesn’t seem like a secret to some, but you’ll be surprise at how many people aren’t aware how effective the two are when cleaning.

  19. Don’t need to spend lots of money on cleaning products by using simple ingredients like vinegar.

  20. My best tip is to not procrastinate and to just get it done and over with. Start with one room and keep going, the sooner it is done the more time you will have to enjoy the nice weather!

  21. Start with one room at a time! I start with bedrooms and pull everything out and then clean it and put back only what should actually be in there and throw out or put away everything else.

  22. My best cleaning tip is to reward yourself. Okay, you’ve spent the day cleaning, working your little fingers to the bone, now go out for dinner!

  23. Actually, scrub-free is my best anytime cleaning tip. Spray it on…go away…come back and rinse off. It works like a charm every time!

  25. to be honest i dont have a secret tip.. when i clean windows (weither it be my vehicle or house) I use windex and newspapers. It sounds so weird but the newspapers don’t leave streak marks!

  26. My best tip is when cleaning glass use newspaper instead of a cloth or papertowels. No streaks!

  27. Start early in the morning when the sun is shining in the windows to show you where all the dust bunnies are hiding.

  28. I like to get a keep pile and a purge pile going as well as scrubbing walls and floors…

  29. My tip is to pour baking soda down your drains and follow it with white vinegar and then boiling water to help keep your drains clean

  30. for streak free windows every time, use a little corn starch dissolved in you vinegar/water

  31. A Tablespoon or two of ‘cronstarch in 1/2 bucket of warm water will make your glass shine-such as mirrors and pictures. First clean then dry with paper towelling.

  32. My best cleaning tip is clean the tub right after your shower, makes it easier to clean.

  33. Microwave your wet dish cloth for 20 seconds, then it is sooooo easy to clean the microwave!

  34. My best spring cleaning tip is to use baking soda to scrub sinks and bathtubs down. It’s a most perfect cleaner without being abrasive.

  35. If it’s a nice day. Open the windows turn up your favorite music and that usually helps make you feel motivated and happy
    So cleaning not so bad

  36. get someone else to do it… hahah I wish. do a bit of cleaning hear and there so you are not overwhelmed

  37. Don’t try and do it all at once or you’ll burn out and the quality of your work will taper off. Make a schedule for each weekend over a month.

  38. run toothbrushes, hairbrushes and plastic bathroom items – ie showerclips, cups, toothbrush holder, soap dispensers, etc through the dishwasher!

  39. It is all about teamwork! Divide and conquer around our house is the key with what little time we have at home to get the chores done!

  40. Best tip would be to send the kids to grandma’s so you can actually get the cleaning done! LOL!

  41. If you haven’t used it, looked at it, opened it in a year, purge. Not the sentimental stuff of course 🙂
After moving to a place with lots of stairs, I don’t allow us to accumulate too much. Once you have to haul it, you don’t want it anymore lol.

  42. I have a screen brush I use to get all the winter dirt off the window screens. Let the sunshine in!

  43. Let the light in! Good lighting really puts the focus on the areas most in need of cleaning, which are the best place to start.

  44. When cleaning the windows, I take out the screens as I go and hose them down the backyard with just water. It’s amazing how dirty/dusty they are.
