Yesterday was Canada Day, so obviously the family and I took to our city’s celebration. It’s one of my favorite days of the year!

I’m still poking through all the photos I took throughout the day, yet a couple caught my eye for this weeks Wordless {or Wordy} Wednesday post.

Recall when one of my twins had her first sip of pop? Hid under the deck and became somewhat of a lunatic, guarding her ‘precious’ nervously?

Here’s the other half of the twinado, sipping a cool treat.

What the photo doesn’t show is her devouring the pop, then holding it above her mouth and tapping the bottom for each and every drop. Then, she tried to stick her fingers in, hoping to find more. I do think it was the highlight of her day though.

A peaceful moment as some tiny Kvita {Ukrainian} dancers watched the stage. This moment struck me as so beautiful. I used to dance in this group, perhaps myself and my girls should join in the Fall? Make use of all my old costumes that are sitting in the basement.

happy canada day

  1. Aww! cute It’s nice to have a story to go with the photos, thanks for sharing

    Have a twintastic week ;-

  2. Looks like everyone had a blast! These are the wonderful memories that will stick with your girls into adulthood. Happy Canada Day! 🙂

  3. I can just see them drinking their soda, pop (whatever you want to call it).

I think the twins would make such cute dancers! I love their hair pieces.

    1. Potato/Potatoe, lol.
I think they would too, if only the schedule allowed for another Fall activity!

    1. It was awesome! Too bad we were all so drained and didn’t go to the fireworks though. Slept right through them! lol

  4. Love her “Im a diva and you are merely allowed to be a part of this moment” face.

  5. What a fun summer event, looks like it was really fun. Dig out your dance outfits it would be such fun for all of you to experience!! Thanks for stopping by Oh My Heartsie Reviews this week!! Happy 4th of July!!

  6. I remember the first time my twin girls had pop! The glazed look in their eyes like they were having the experience of their lifetime is something I will never forget!

  7. you should totally join. cute outfits. my girls and I did a couple of step dancing classes together and we really enjoyed it.

  8. So cute about the pop. lol…. You guys should definitely start Ukranian dancing. How fun would that be?!?!?

  9. What beautiful photos!

Isn’t it funny how ‘crazy’ kids go for junk food when they don’t have it all the time? It’s sort of nice to be able to give some soda AS a treat and have it be A TREAT and not the norm!

I would highly recommend your girls going into Ukrainian dance! My sister and cousins took it for several years (I was a painfully shy child and so it was impossible for my parents to put me into activities, sadly) and LOVED it.. It’s also great for the kids to see a part of their heritage!

  10. I love seeing pictures of the lovely things that you and the girls do together…they will have wonderful memories to look back on when they are older 🙂
