Roasted Red Pepper Turkey Wraps

This time of year brings more days spent outdoors, fresh fruits and vegetables with dips, and picnics. This Roasted Red Pepper Turkey Wraps recipe combines them all.

It’s a great wrap to take along for those summer days spent in the sun – or even to send in school lunches {because we aren’t quite done with those yet}.

For these wraps I used leftover turkey which I were frozen from our last huge family meal, though you could use sliced deli meats as well. It’s paired well with Roasted Red Potato Salad!

It also uses fresh spinach and basil and tasty provolone cheese. Yet the best part of these wraps is the Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus which I use as the spread.

Rather than using other spreads to moisten up the wrap, the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus makes it creamy and delicious.

I just love the combined flavours, even better than restaurant-style wraps which I’ve had before.

The Roasted Red Pepper Hummus variety, like the other ones offered by Sabra, are a great staple to have on hand for so many reasons.

Not only can you dip fresh vegetables and pretzels as a snack or side to a meal – they are so versatile that they can be a key ingredient to the core of the meal, like these wraps.

Roasted Red Pepper Turkey Wraps uses turkey, fresh spinach, basil, tasty provolone cheese, and Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus for the spread. YUM!

Ingredients

  • 1 large tortilla
  • 4 slices turkey (I used leftover but you can also use sliced deli meat)
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
  • 4 tbsp basil leaves, chopped (I used fresh)

Instructions

  1. Spread Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus on a tortilla shell
  2. Place turkey, cheese, spinach and basil on top
  3. Fold the bottom side of the wrap over the filling and towards the center, then fold one side toward the middle and the adjacent one as well, so nothing can spill out the bottom
  4. Wrap with a napkin or foil to take on the go, or use a toothpick to hold it shut while serving. Enjoy!
