Month In Photos: July 2014
JULY 2014 was again another beautiful month for weather in Alberta. The majority of the month was spent in a heat wave, which resulted in us getting air conditioning for the home. Crazy canucks right? A few days of super hot weather out of the year and we’re installing the AC.
Yet, a cooler house really helped with my cake decorating this year since this month the twins turned 6! They had a fantastic FROZEN themed party {sharing all the details soon, I promise!}.
It was a great birthday, the smiles on their faces warmed my heart. Birthdays are always a little stressful for me {I put a lot of pressure on myself}, but it’s once a year and the memories are worth it! Month In Photos: July 2014
The start of July 2014 was a great one – I taught the twins how to ride a bike! It was my mission for the summer and I was surprised they learned so quickly. So, of course I had to get myself a bike, after not being on one in over 15 years I’m sure. We’ve been riding a lot this past month, with only once incident of Sophia hitting gravel. Road rash everywhere, she looked like a mothers nightmare. Yet, she healed very quickly and it didn’t hinder her riding. Thank god!
In July we celebrated Canada Day, my oldest was in the city parade and we took in the Westerner Days fair as well.
We also spent a wonderful weekend at Pine Lake, glamping it up in cabins. Since we RV camp a lot, it was a completely different experience to stay in cabins. For those wondering, I do love both!
My oldest had cheer camp for a week and the twins are currently in a week of theatre camp. Each camp is only a few hours a day, so it’s a good chance for me to get errands done and for them to see friends.
Indeed it was a busy but fun July 2014. Remember, we only have 18 summers with the kids – so we need to make each one count!
How was your July 2014?

You captured some great photos for July. Our month was pretty exciting too and I have some fun pictures to relive the memories.
Thats great Stefani, plus I always take more photos in the summer too.
I wish I had air conditioning..it’s been tough for me at home..and ac just started working again here at work after being dead for a month…
I’m not really an ‘air conditioning person’, I do like my windows open. Yet, I have to admit, it’s nice to have it on a bit for sleeping!
This is such a great idea. I love that you have your whole month sitting right there in photos. I need to work on this more!
Thank you, I’m so happy I’ve been doing this, and it’s been a year and a month, I need to make that album. Or wait for a full calendar year … not sue yet.
Looks like your family is having a great summer! Lots of fun activities!
We certainly are, I cannot believe it’s August already!
You guys have been busy, huh? Glad you’re having a nice summer.
It’s not until I look back, that I realize too!
Your summer looks amazing! I love how you summed everything up- maybe you’re onto something!
Thanks Chelley, if I ever want to know what I did in July ’04, I will know. Alibi? lol
Our July was very busy too! We had Independence day, camping trip, family reunion, registering kids for school and now I
m prepping for another birthday and an anniversary. WOW, the month was so busy but it just flew by!
Wow, that sounds like a fun month! I haven’t been to a reunion in years, that must have been a great time!
Sounds like you certainly had a busy July! I love the picture of the girls on the bikes!
Thanks Pam!
Oh what a great month you seemed to have had… That Frozen cake looks amazing and very pretty. We have a Princess Party coming up in a week and I am freaking out about it. HA!
Thank you! The cake always stresses me out, too many hours and then boom – it’s gone. sigh.
Oh, and good luck with the party!! 🙂
Those are really gorgeous pictures, and you packed quite a lot into one month! My July wasn’t quite as busy, but I did hit the water a few times on the boat. That was pretty great.
That’s very nice, I love boating!
SO CUTE!! I love their expressions looking at the Barbie van!!! What a great summer your family has had! Packed full of fun. Enjoy your bike rides 🙂
Thanks Jen, I’d like to do a post on that – the photos from that day were hilarious!!

Well Happy Birthday Traci!! 🙂
July 2014 was a fantastic month for me! I turned 47, bought a new house and did two things on my bucket list. I also went to Blogher.
AWESOME!!!
Looks like a great month! Your photos are beautiful.
Thank you! 🙂
Mine was ridiculously busy, but I was able to spend time visiting both of my kids so that was wonderful. I think August is shaping up to be equally as busy.
Funny how that calendar fills up so quickly! I need to write out mine today, I’m a little scared!! lol
My July was not nearly as exciting as yours! It looks like everyone is having a great time at your house. Or not at your house, as the case may be.
Ha, these kids move nonstop!!
Honestly it started out like crud, and ended amazing with a trip to Vegas with my hubby!
Well, that’s great! Hope you had a wonderful time!!
Awww I love your monthly re-caps and all the fun pictures… July sure looked like a super fun month again..thanks for sharing… wonder what fun you all have next month 🙂

I love the picture of the girls with the Barbie car. They look SO excited! Our July was pretty great; BBQs, getting Ashley moved into her new apartment, playing outside.
These photos are beautiful. I really like the one of the carnival.
July was a great month for our family as well. Thanks for sharing your photos! Awesome!
