Operation Smudge-Proof Kitchen
When we moved into our current house, my husband loved our all-black appliances. Myself? I wanted something shiner. I dreamed of having a complete set of pretty stainless steel wonders.
To that, he met me with a firm ‘no way!‘.
Why is he so anti-stainless?
You see, my husband is *sort of* a neat freak, and anyone that knows us personally will nod their heads with complete agreement. While I am a clean person, he is more picky when it comes to clean and tidy. For instance, while I’m sipping my morning coffee and waiting to fully wake, he has already vacuumed the house, started the dishes and is tackling that to-do pile. Keener.
So, to him, stainless steel meant nothing but messy trouble. We have 3 kids in this house and all he would see was plenty of fingerprints and streaks with every wipe.
Then, the fantastic Frigidaire Gallery Free Standing Range arrived. While I gawked at the marvels of induction cooking, the quick response time, the 5 burners and so much more – my husband stood back and only saw the stainless.
In fact, he stood watching with cleanser and cloth in hand, showing it who’s boss right from the get-go.
Little did my husband know that Frigidaire has Smudge-Proof Technology. It’s a new anti-smudge technology that resists those little fingerprints and is easier to clean than traditional stainless steel surfaces.

Of all the fabulous features that our range has, this is the one aspect that my husband loves best. As well, this also gives me points in convincing him that the French Door Refrigerator needs to join the family as well.

We do not have stainless steel appliances but that is really nice that grimy little hands do not smudge!

I so wish our Stainless Steel appliances were smudge proof, they look so good when cleaned but it only last’s about five minutes, lol!

Oh my goodness, this whole smudge-proof line is going on my wish list. How awesome. I hate finger prints and go crazy having three kids and two dogs at home, who tend to rub their noses on everything… ha

You should see my sister’s fridge. She was so happy when her massive stainless steel fridge arrived. She was in for a rude awakening. That fridge shows every little (and not so little) fingerprint. This smudge-proof stuff came a little too late for my sister, but not for me. Why didn’t they think of this before?

My kitchen is pretty smudge-proof because I have all white appliances. I love the warm, cozy feel of white in a kitchen. 🙂

stainless is beautiful, but the smudges..those awful awful smudges! 🙁
Stainless steel is so pretty when clean but the smudges that most get are so frustrating. I could really use a smudge-proof stove! It looks great in your kitchen.
I’m with your husband! The only stainless steel we have is a microwave and it really makes me crazy. The new Frigidaire sounds wonderful.

I do not have a smudge-proof kitchen. My appliances are cleaned twice a week or so and there are always fingerprints to clean-mostly mine.
I loved the way your girls worked together and made sure each one had the same amount of paper. They certainly worked diligently!

That’s great!! We have the older model Frigidaire Gallery, and we didn’t get smudge-proof, they must have came out with it right after we bought our set, of course! Nothing worse than finger prints all over everything.
Oh, this is just we need! If only we were going to be in the market for new appliances someday soon…
